At IK Collection, we are committed to reducing our environmental impact through practical, measurable actions implemented across our operations.

Reducing Plastic Waste

We have phased out 50cl plastic water bottles from guest rooms, replacing daily plastic bottle replenishment with reusable glass bottles. This initiative significantly reduces single-use plastic consumption and supports a more circular approach to guest amenities.

Single-use bathroom amenities have also been eliminated. Individual body and hair product bottles have been replaced with refillable dispensers in all guest bathrooms, reducing plastic waste without compromising guest comfort.

Waste Management & Separation

A comprehensive Waste Management Policy is in place across all IK Collection properties. This includes clear waste separation practices to ensure responsible disposal and increased recycling.

Waste streams include:

  • Mixed waste

  • Organic waste

  • Mixed recyclables

These initiatives help reduce landfill waste, support recycling efforts, and promote responsible environmental practices throughout our operations.

Throughout the year, we implement staff incentive and recognition schemes designed to motivate our teams and celebrate their contributions. We actively observe International Awareness Days, including Autism Awareness Day, World Down Syndrome Day, Pink October, and Movember, helping raise awareness of important social and health issues while promoting an inclusive and supportive workplace culture.

Our commitment extends beyond our properties and into the wider community. Through ongoing community support initiatives, we contribute to food bank programmes, participate in community clean-up activities across various locations, and support local NGOs and foundations.
